What happened to the Stoat?

The stoat has undergone a revamp into wiki form, and is now powered by WikkaWakkaWiki∞.

What does this mean?

It means that members of the Stoat can post their own content really easily. Thanks to WikkaWakkaWiki∞, pages default to only be editable by members. This is a good thing, in the webmaster's view, in that only friends of the Stoat can deface it with their own content. Moreover, pages can be set up to be only viewable by members, or by a particular member or two.

I'm not a member...how do I join?

If you're a friend of the Stoat, you already have the resources at your fingertips to contact the webmaster. If you ain't, well, you're a bit out of luck.

As a friend of the Stoat, you will be given an "invitation code" which you can use to register by following the link at the top of the page.

All right, I've joined...how do I work this thing?

First of all, check out What is a Wiki?∞.

You can add a page by simply referencing it from an existing page. Page names are written in "camel casing", whereby two or more words with initially capital letters are joined together, VeryMuchLikeThis, TheStoat. So, log in and find an existing page you're allowed to edit. Edit it and just mention the page name, no special syntax required. When the page is viewed, the page name will automatically get translated into a link to the page. If it doesn't exist, you'll be able to create it.

By default, new pages you create will be viewable by everyone, but only editable by yourself and other members. Pages can be further restricted; ask the webmaster for details.
